Beyond his love for the outdoors, Jake is an ardent animal lover. Alongside his wife, he is actively involved in realizing her dream with Storm Breaker—a safe haven where people can freely enjoy nature and interact with animals at no cost.
An avid traveler and business leader, Jake manages several successful ventures, including an automotive shop, a business and marketing company, and an indoor dog park. His commitment extends to his community as his beloved church family plays an integral role in his life.

Emily James
Growing up, my love for horses was unmatched. But like so many others, I faced the reality that horses are expensive to care for and even harder to access. My few precious summers at horse camp were earned through selling Girl Scout cookies or through my mom’s hard work cleaning stalls in exchange for lessons. Those moments, though rare, fueled a lifelong dream of one day owning horses and being surrounded by these incredible animals.
Now, that dream and answer to prayer has come true—and I want to pay it forward. I want to give what God has so graciously blessed me with to the world. I believe that everyone deserves the chance to experience the joy and peace that comes from being around horses, without the burden of high costs. Whether you’d like to lead a horse on a quiet trail walk, practice lunging exercises, spend time grooming, or simply offer some gentle pets and treats, this is the place for you.
Here on our property, we’ve created a sanctuary not just for horses, but for people too. We believe in giving our animals the best lives possible while sharing the gift of their presence with others. Meet Aspen—our spirited 11-year-old animal enthusiast with a heart as big as the barn she helps run! Whether she's caring for her beloved horses, ponies, goats, and dogs, or diving into new adventures with 4-H, Aspen brings energy, kindness, and determination to every task. Now building her skills in horse riding, she’s not only learning how to guide these graceful creatures but also discovering the joy of working hard and growing every day. Aspen’s passion for all animals shines through in everything she does, making her a true friend to every creature she meets.
Gary Greene
Meet Gary Greene—affectionately known as Cowboy Jesus—is an irreplaceable part of Storm Breaker Stables. With a deep, unwavering love for horses, Gary treats every animal under his care as if it were his very own. As the Barn Manager, his expertise ensures that the stables are not just a workplace, but a haven where both horses and people thrive.
But Gary’s talents extend far beyond horsemanship. Need something fixed, wired up, built, or even “McGyvered”? Gary is your go-to guy. His exceptional carpentry skills and handyman prowess have earned him a legendary reputation in the community. From repairing fences, building projects, to property care -its always done in record time and always exceeds our expectations.
At Storm Breaker Stables, his leadership and compassionate care make him indispensable. Simply put, life at the Barn wouldn’t be the same without him!
Dajah Reed
Meet Dajah, the new General Manager at Storm Breaker Stables—a seasoned equestrian whose lifelong passion for horses is as profound as it is inspiring. Growing up immersed in the world of horsemanship, Dajah has not only owned and trained horses from a young age but also earned accolades as an avid rodeo competitor, showcasing her exceptional skills and dedication in numerous competitions.
Her deep reservoir of knowledge and genuine love for horses shines through in every interaction, as she effortlessly shares insights with anyone eager to learn. At Storm Breaker Stables, Dajah will be at the helm, personally trialing our horses at the barn and meticulously organizing activities and schedules to ensure that every visitor experiences the magic of our equine family.

Not only does she excel in animal care, but Dessie's meticulous attention to barn cleaning and maintenance ensures our space is always welcoming and pristine—a testament to her dedication and detail-oriented nature. Every weekend, she is the heart of our barn, tirelessly caring for every creature that comes her way.
